Training for a meet, freshman Jacob Kent does leg press reps. “I started power-lifting after cross-country to stay in shape and keep my legs strong,” Kent said. “I like directly seeing my improvements and knowing that I am getting stronger by each time I max out.” Kent has been powerlifting since seventh-grade and plans to continue the sport through high school.
