After the girls’ tennis team ended its season with a 7-7 record, the players continue to practice outside of school. Sophomore Rhea Sinha practices with a private coach and plays on her own over the summer.
“During the offseason, I focus on what I was lacking during the season so that I can be at the top of my game when the next year rolls around,” she said. “It’s nice to be able to play without focusing on winning or losing but on improving as a player.”
Junior Suhina Mitra is taking seven AP exams while still practicing tennis.
“I have private lessons once a week and usually practice on my own three to four times a week, but I haven’t been going as much recently,” Mitra said. “I usually take a break in May during testing and get back to training more in the summer.”
