Senior Greg Darnell shot a 2-under-par 34 and West Shore placed first with a team score of 177 in a three-team boys’ golf match at The Habitat Golf Course on Tuesday. Melbourne Central Catholic finished second at 184 despite Kaz Soyk’s hole in one on the third hole. Palm Bay came in third at 206. West Shore’s Ryan Ringrose shot a 47 and Matt Senft-Greenberg and Wesley Dennis finished at 48.
“I think I did pretty good, I left a couple shots out there, but overall I feel I did well.” Darnell said. “The team definitely did great, it was our lowest score overall as a team. We are still just trying to improve, besides myself we’re pretty young.”
Their next match is on Oct. 6 against the Brevard Heat.
