Suntree Fall Festival a roaring success
The trend of Fall Festivals drew to a close with Suntree Elementary’s Fall Festival this past Saturday. The event was a huge success for the parents, students, teachers and volunteers who attended. The event took place at Suntree Elementary School on Saturday, Nov. 23 until 3:00 p.m.
The festival offered many attractions, such as a dunk tank where some of the Suntree staff were the victims and an outside game of laster tag. Other activities included a human hamster ball, a performance by the Suntree Elementary choir, bounce houses, multiple side games, a silent auction and a large book fair.
All the events at the festival could not have taken place without the help of the volunteers who contributed their time.
“It’s good to give back to my elementary school, and it’ll be fun to go back and see all my old teachers,” senior Lindsay Gorham said. “I get volunteer hours while doing it, so I like it. You sign up for different little sections to volunteer, and normally they’re four hour shifts, and they’re different shifts all day.”
