With boys’ lacrosse team’s first game after spring break approaching, freshman Collin Munro and sophomore Michael Carroll are preparing. The game will be an away game against Cocoa Beach on April 5 at 6 p.m.
“I don’t feel confident in the game tomorrow to be honest, ” Munro said. “Cocoa Beach is a great team, and I honestly think they are better. We are a decent team with decent teamwork. Teamwork would be a reason for us to do better than expected.”
Munro was selected as the player of the game for the game against Rockledge High School on March 8.
“Everybody has been working hard in our team,” Munro said. “Our teamwork is gradually improving, but even teamwork won’t probably help us win against Cocoa Beach. I think the season is going O.K., but we should have won some games we lost. I think the reason is that we are a new team and we are still learning to work together.”
The team’s record is currently 2–8.
“I hope we can win against Cocoa Beach; they are a very skilled team, but if we use our teamwork, I think we might have a slight chance to win against Cocoa Beach tomorrow,” Carroll said.
