As the end of September draws near, Wildcat nation prepares for Spirit Week. For the members of high school SGA, however, preparation is nothing new.

“They’ve been getting ready for this since last year,” sponsor Bob Sarver said. “The planning started up again two weeks before school began.”

Spirit Week is scheduled from Sept. 23 to Sept. 27, followed by Homecoming on Saturday the 28th.  Monday is Zoo Day, Tuesday is Celebrity Day, Wednesday is America Day, Thursday is Class Color Day (yellow, purple, white, and green for grades 7-10, respectively), and Friday is Spirit Day.

“This year, we tried very hard to come up with themes that have not been done before,” SGA president senior Keiran Sheridan said. “[As for Zoo Day], I think it will be hysterical to see everyone walking around dressed as animals.”

Throughout the week, events such as Musical Chairs, Shells Guess, and obstacle courses will be held during lunch.
