Cheerleading team expands after tryouts
The cheerleading squad has recruited many new faces this year, filling slots vacated by students who have graduated. Tryouts have helped the team add a variety of students to their roster.
“It’s actually really fun,” sophomore Sean Bak said. “Everyone treats you as one of their friends or family. They always make you feel a part of the team.”
Bak joined the squad this year.
“I think it makes our team stronger,” junior Cheney Hess said. “It’s fun to have new people to work with. We have been preparing for the upcoming season ever since the [Sept. 20] fall sports pep rally. Everybody is really excited and we are really anxious to get out there and perform for the crowd.”
Hess has been a member of the cheerleading squad for three years.
