NFL Fantasy: Bold moves for Week 7

With the NFL kicking off an already exciting season, past weeks five and six have set up a seventh week worth watching.

The Week 7 bye schedule has fantasy players all over the place. With four of the six bye teams being weapons in the NFL, the Buffalo Bills(5-1), Minnesota Vikings(5-1) and the Philadelphia Eagles (6-0) are all division leaders scheduled for a bye this week. The other three being the Denver Broncos, the Houston Texans and the Los Angeles Rams.

With the Week 7 bye schedule, No. 1 ranked fantasy quarterback Josh Allen has fantasy players scrambling for a temporary quarterback. With Allen having the most average points per week in the NFL; his average being a shocking 28.8 points per game makes him nearly impossible to replace. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts who is currently ranked No. 3 quarterback in the NFL is also a hard spot to fill, averaging 24.3 ppg.

“Geno Smith, the quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks is an easy pick up and will get you points in the quarterback position,” senior Christian Graham said.

Smith is ranked the No. 7 quarterback and is averaging 18.4 ppg.

“He will not get as many points as Josh Allen but is an easy steal for this week’s bye week,” Graham said.

Along with a game-changing bye week schedule, the exciting news of the returning star players  has trades blooming. Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has returned from a six-week suspension for the use of performance-enhancing drugs and put up a solid 20.3 points in Week 7’s Thursday night matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Hopkins has also been set up for good statistics with the recent injury of other Cardinals receiver Hollywood Brown. Senior Catrina Carl proposed a trade offering two starting wide receivers for Hopkins but got rejected.

“As a fan of the Arizona Cardinals, DeAndre Hopkins is going to have a great season and will be a great fantasy receiver after an impressive 2021-2022 season,” Carl said.

Even Hopkins himself is posting videos and tweets about how he was waiting to remove himself from the bench on his own fantasy roster. https://twitter.com/DeAndreHopkins/status/

Miami Dolphins starting Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is returning from a severe concussion and will be starting in Sunday’s matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Los Angeles Chargers star receiver Keenan Allen will also be returning for this week’s matchup against the Seattle Seahawks after a hamstring injury.
