Senior Amugo Chuckwunenye reacts to being honored during Senior Night on Friday.

The boys’ varsity soccer team ended its regular season with a victory against the Satellite Scorpions 3-0 Friday. The Wildcats celebrated Senior Night during halftime of the game to honor the eight players who will graduate in May.

Amugo Chuckwunenye, who was named the Spectrum Sports Central Florida Player of the Week after scoring eight goals in three games last week, added two more during his final regular-season game as a Wildcat.

“When I start scoring goals I don’t stop when I’m at three. I always strive to score more and more each game,” Chuckwunenye said. “Scoring comes natural to me. I am just happy that I am able to help my team out.”

The team has been receiving a lot of attention due to News Channel 13 interviewing Chuckwunenye and head Coach Bob Robidoux regarding Chuckwunenye scoring streak.

“Amugo has been playing out of his mind this season,” Robidoux said. “He is going to give us a great chance as we are preparing for districts and regionals.”

The boys start district play Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Space Coast High School Junior/Senior High School in Cocoa where they compete against the Cocoa Beach Minutemen for the chance to move on to the district finals.
