Senior Nick Burgess scored two goals on free kicks, sophomore Chase Hester and junior Dylan O’Brien each added one at the boys’ varsity soccer team knocked out Lake Highland Prep 4-1 in the 2A Regional quarterfinal Wednesday night. Goalkeeper Cooper Stein logged four saves.

“The game went pretty well,” O’Brien said. “It was pretty rough, they were really a dirty team but its a good thing we have so many talented players to overcome that and it ended up being pretty easy.”

The 16-3-0 Wildcats will next play host to Bishop Moore in the regional semifinal Saturday at 7 p.m. Admission to the game is $7.

“I think we’re going to annihilate [Bishop Moore],” O’Brien said. “Hopefully we can put together a run to states.”
