Sophomore Giao Huynh had 14 kills, junior Luisa De La Hoz had 21 assists and Hannah Alba had 10 aces as the Lady Wildcats volleyball team coasted past Cocoa Beach in straight sets 25-2, 25-14, 25-19 Tuesday night. The team’s overall record now stands at 13-3.

“We did very well defensively,” Huynh said. “So we could always get the ball up and set it up to me.”

De La Hoz noticed a drop in competition from Cocoa Beach.

“Cocoa Beach was missing several key players,” De La Hoz said. “We had to move around a few of our players because Rachel Alba was hurt so we did struggle a little bit.”

Lady Wildcats next play tonight at 7 p.m. at Melbourne High School.
