March 2, 2017
The girls’ 4×100 meter relay team set the West Shore record this Tuesday with a time of 54.3 seconds. Junior Ahjaney Friar led off, followed by junior Haley Walker, then junior Molly Redito, and freshman Holly anchored. Friar also won third place at the meet in the 100m, with a personal best time of 13.9 seconds.
“I’m really proud of our girls.,” Friar said. “I think we worked really well together as a team. Even though Shannon [Topp], our best runner, wasn’t there, we still managed to pull through and beat the West Shore record. Hopefully this Friday we can beat it again.”
