The boys’ varsity basketball team defeated Edgewood 66-43 Friday night. The highest scorer of the game was Junior Tony Hedrick.
“It was special to beat Edgewood at home because varsity beat them last year at home so we wanted to build off of that,” sophomore Auston Gonzalez said. “It was a Friday night whiteout game which made it much more unforgettable.”
According to junior Khalil Paul, Edgewood games are much more special.
“Just the atmosphere during Edgewood games is exciting,” he said. “Everyone gets into the game because of the rivalry.”
The boys’ basketball team will next play Thursday at home against Astronaut High.
