The Wildcat boys’ soccer team beat Cocoa High School 8-0 Wednesday night, to start the season off 1-0. Senior Robert Madden led the way with 2 goals, followed by juniors Nick Pekmezian, Gavin Rushnell, Sam Leighton, and Jared Duncan, and freshmen Robbie DuJovne, all with one goal each.
“The game last night went well,” Pekmezian said. “It was a good starting point for the season. We got to work out our formation. We got everyone in the game, which was nice, so everyone got to play a lot. A lot of guys got to score some goals early on in the season, which helped boost their confidence.”
The ‘Cats next play tonight when they travel to Edgewood to take on the Indians at 7 p.m.
