Wildcats take down Eagles 41-34
December 8, 2015
Junior Evan Lanier led the way with 15 points, followed by junior Juan Rodriguez with 14 as West Shore defeated Astronaut High School 41-34. The Wildcats improved to 2-5 on the season.
“I think we could have done a better job establishing a presence defensively,” Rodriguez said. “We can’t start our games slow like we did against Astronaut, they were missing a few players. They were still a decent team but I think that we should have beaten them by more than just seven points.
“We also have to stay out of foul trouble because Evan [Lanier] has been in foul trouble the last few games in the first quarter so he hasn’t been able to help us. I was excited that he was able to come in the second half and give us a dunk. It really got us pumped and it was awesome.”
The ‘Cats play again tonight at home against Melbourne Central Catholic beginning at 7.

"In 7th grade I had signed up for a [field trip to] Canada but it was canceled because COVID pushed it off so much, so when Mrs. Pietrzak brought up that they were doing a D-Day field trip to Europe, I thought that was really cool and I knew that I definitely wanted to do a trip while I was at West Shore so I took the opportunity," Amelia Bailly '25 said.](https://westshoreroar.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/edbc27cd-da37-43d3-9ac9-0f38a21bbe02-1200x675.jpg)
