Grant Seafood Festival opens Friday

The 53rd annual Grant Seafood Festival will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Grant Community Center.
“It’s enjoyable because of the live music and different food options,” sophomore Tatum Berard said.
Admission and parking are free, but pets, coolers, set-up tents, umbrellas and overnight parking are prohibited.
“I mean I wish I could bring my dog but I understand because all the people with food,” sophomore Andrea Cumba said.
Food tickets will available at a booth and food prices range from one to seven tickets with each ticket costing $1.50.
All proceeds will be put back into the community of Grant. Projects include the Grant Seafood Festival scholarship fund, Grant Community Library, Grant Historical House and The Grant Community Center.
