Crew offers free rowing this week
November 26, 2017
For a limited time, Space Coast Crew is offering a chance to row for free today, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 4:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. at Oars and Paddles Park in Indian Harbour Beach. It will give prospective rowers a chance to see the high school crew team in action.
“I think it is a great idea,” junior Emily Eastwood said. “I joined because I was dragged to a row-for-free week and hated it the first day of rowing but later fell in love with it. It helps you see the true team environment.”
Sophomore Emerson Bramel, who is not on the team, is interested in attending.
“I would love to go but the times and the days conflict with cheer practice so I won’t be able to go,” Bramel said.
In addition to the four row-for-free days for high school students, on Dec. 2 there is a row for free clinic for people of all ages.
