Art students prep for school show
November 29, 2016
The art students are in full swing in terms of preparation for the upcoming show starting next week.
Graphic design students will spend the remainder of the week perfecting their top pieces for evaluation.
“Art isn’t about perfection, it’s like a journey,” junior Harrison Ryan said. “It doesn’t ever stop. You just decide to turn around.”
Students use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for all their pieces, and they revisit old pieces regularly when preparing for the shows.
“Its pretty intense. All you can do is give it your all, and hope the judges appreciate your image,” junior Joe Luisi said. “I got my art in the mall twice as a kid, and that was just a stepping stone for the rest of my art career. It’ll be a learning experience for us all.”
Their art will be on display from Dec. 5-9 in the school media center.
