The girls’ swim team recently completed an undefeated season and is preparing for its championship meets.

To accomplish an undefeated season, the girls’ team held practices six days a week.

“We really tried to prioritize teamwork and bonding,” senior swim captain Katelyn Owl said. “Working hard and motivating each other in practice helped us go undefeated [too].”

Part of their preparation for the season started at practice.

“We always make sure to cheer each other on and encourage each other to do our best during practices.” junior swim captain Chloe Pratt said.

Pratt said the team has a plan going into its championship meets.

“We will try our best in the pool at our competitions and continue to encourage and be proud of each other no matter what,” Pratt said. “I’m really proud of our whole team and what we were able to accomplish this season.”

On Wednesday, the team will compete in the district meet.

“The girls are a lot more confident because of us being undefeated,” Owl said. “I think we’re really excited to swim in championship season now.”
