Final Fleming Greetings Wildcat Families,

Good afternoon my fellow Wildcats!!! As I sit down to craft this rather bittersweet message today, I am drawn to recall the many blessings bestowed upon me during my tenure as your school principal and although words can never truly do justice and capture my level of appreciation, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!! Together we have built an amazing school that is often imitated, but never duplicated, and as I reflect upon this journey, I truly wanted to express my gratitude to all the friends and families of our school community. As I move on into retirement, beginning next Thursday, May 23, 2024, I want everyone to know that the relationships we have built together, I will cherish for the rest of my life and I will remember fondly the thousands of amazing children who have passed through the doors at West Shore over the years. As we look to the future however, I am very confident that our new and highly qualified Principal Mr. Burt Clark is poised to continue our tradition of “Excellence Achieved” and is excited to take our beloved school to the next level. Thank you for the wonderful times and memories together and always remember that once a Wildcat….always a Wildcat!!! May blessings and good fortune always reign upon the Wildcat Nation!!!

During Power Hour in the commons area, a voter registration table was set up to help students register to vote. U.S. Government teacher Austin Glezen encouraged participation, stating, The only time we do not have a voice is when we choose not to share it. The on-campus drive was part of the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections Your Vote is Your Voice campaign aimed at boosting youth voter turnout.
