JV boys’ basketball beats Satellite 36-32

Lead by sophomore Kyle Peters with 20 points, the JV boys’ basketball team won its first game in two years against the Satellite Scorpions Thursday night 36-32.

“It felt good that we were able to finally pull the team together and get a win,” Peters said.

Freshmen starters Luca Sullivan and Liam Schutte were injured and unable to play. According to Peters this had an effect on the game.

“We had a few players out of the game who usually have a very big impact,” Peters said. “I think if they were playing we would’ve been able to play better and win by more.”

Freshman Jesse Bratman scored nine points and played the whole game with no breaks.

“It was a tiring and rough fight,” Bratman said. “But it was worth it and it felt good to break the team’s losing streak my first year on JV.”
