Varsity boys’ tennis team prepares for Districts

The boys’ varsity tennis team enters the late-season push with two games remaining until playoffs. The Wildcats will travel to Florida Prep on Thursday and continue to prepare for the 1A District Tournament.

“I think as a team we have been very supportive of each other and despite not having the best season we have kept high spirits throughout the season,” sophomore Eric Yang said. “I feel like despite having a tough regular season, moving into the playoffs, we will have much more success than what our results right now predict.”

After a loss to Edgewood, the team settled into a 6–6 record, placing the team at third in the district.

“The team is having a pretty rough year, and the only person who is consistently winning is our top player [Eric Yang],” sophomore Giorgio Rotolo said. “I think we can win out the rest of the season, even though our current record is not that impressive.”
