Girls’ lacrosse falls to Edgewood 13-11

The girls’ varsity lacrosse team, led by seventh-grader Kiera R. with five goals, fell to Edgewood 13-11 Tuesday night.

“Unfortunately, we weren’t able to pull out a win, but we played well,” sophomore Paige Conrad said. “We started to come back around the end of the game, but then Edgewood scored one goal after another and finished us off.”

The Lady Wildcats’ record stands at 3-3 with the loss.

“Although Edgewood has a pretty solid lacrosse team, I think we can beat them the next time we play them,” eighth-grader Faith C. said. “We are improving so much every game. I’m so proud of this team.”

The girls play their next game on Thursday at Melbourne Central Catholic at 5:30 p.m.
