SGA elections on the horizon

The high-school Student Government Association soon will be hosting elections for the upcoming school year. Students will be able to pick up candidate application packets the week after Spring Break. During the following week, candidates will be for campaigning, and at the end of that week, all high school students will vote in homeroom.

Junior Tyanna Tizol already is considering her campaign, even three weeks in advance.

“I have been a part of Student Government for two years now and these past two years I have really been able to see how things are run,” she said. “I think that I will run for secretary, this way I can really contribute to this club and make it the best I can possibly make it.”

Junior Zohra Mujeeb doesn’t plan to run in these elections and will continue to attend meetings and do her part in different ways.

“I do not plan to run for any officer position because I have been a part of SGA for the past two years,” she said. “I think that I will still be able to do my part without the responsibility of being an officer. I still look forward to helping next year in the many things SGA is tasked with.”
