Sophomores golfers Lila Iwanowski and Abigail Watson have been named to the All Cape Coast Conference team, which is composed of the top 10 golfers in the county. They received these honors after leading their team to a second-place finish at Indian River Preserve Golf Club for Cape Coast Conference. They qualified for the All Cape Coast Conference team after having individual first- and ninth-place finishes against everyone in the conference. Iwanowski took first with a 78 and Watson took ninth with a 91.

“The team played well,” Iwanowski said. “Everyone worked real hard to come out as runner-up out of approximately 16 schools. This was the second year in a row we got second at the CCC.”

Watson also celebrated the team’s finish.

“Cape Coast Conference was one of our best matches as a team,” she said. ” Everyone stayed positive and put a good score on the board.”

Coach Jenny Pazderak said she was happy with how their season went.

“I am very pleased with how they did at Cape Coast Conference,” Pazderak said. ” They all worked hard and played to the best of their abilities. Given that our season was cut short due to COVID, we still had a great season. I am really looking forward to next year.”
