Festival of Fire sure to produce heat

The Festival of Fire, an adrenaline-filled event for all ages, will take place from March 6 to 7 at Palm Beach International Raceway.

“I think a problem that may take place for this event is the coronavirus,” Carsen Brown (9) said. “I think that not as many people will show up to the event because they don’t want the coronavirus spreading to them since there will be a big crowd and a risk of contamination.”

The festival will display light shows, musing and dancers. In addition, there will also be jet-powered dragsters, jet funny cars, fire breathing dancers, juggling, and flame throwers to entertain the audience.

“The event I’m most excited to see is the fire breathing dancers,” Laya Damaraju (9) said. “I think that this will be the most interesting because it’s probably one of the most difficult and compromising acts. The dancers probably have to be really careful and it will probably be really captivating for the audience.”

The gates open at 5 p.m. on Friday and at 3 p.m. on Saturday. There will be three runs of the jet show on Saturday at 5:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 9 p.m. On Friday the cost for a ticket to this event is $20 for an adult and $7 for children 6-12. On Saturday the admission price for an adult increases to $30. The price for children 6-12 stays the same on Saturday. On both days, children 5 and under are admitted in free.
