Boys’ soccer falls to Heritage 1-0

A short-handed boys’ varsity soccer team fell to Heritage High 1-0 Wednesday night. Seniors John Eaton and Jake Klenotich and sophomores Noa Miller, Gavin Robidoux and Brock Emer, all were injured and unable to play. In addition, Coach Bob Robidoux missed the match while serving the first of a two-game suspension for receiving a red card.

“Being down players hurt us forcing us to have players play in different spots and situations,” Michael Villanueva (11) said.

Many of the boys are on various club teams and are going to compete in a Disney Tournament during Winter Break.

“Hopefully, I can heal before the tournament or have time after to recover before the break ends in time for the first game returning,” Gavin Robidoux (10) said.

The boys won’t play a varsity soccer game until after Winter Break.

“We have some break to get some sessions in and be ready for our return back to games after break,” Villanueva said.
