Candle sales brighten chorus funding
In an effort to raise money, chorus students are participating in the annual Yankee Candle fund-raiser. Besides providing pleasant aromas sale of the candles is essential for the chorus program.
“It helps fund materials that we wouldn’t be able to afford,” chorus teacher Amy Davis said. “It helped us afford the chorus uniforms for this year and transportation to different events.”
Sophomore choir student Brooke Townsend is a big seller among the chorus community.
“My mom takes [the order form] to work. I ask my teachers, and I ask my friends,” she said. “I like selling things for the organization and it benefits me directly.”
With the packages just arriving, participants are eager to open them.
