The March 3rd game was close from the face-off when attacker Sarah Kinsey scored the first goal within 13 seconds of the whistle. The girl’s lacrosse team won their first game yesterday against Merritt Island High School and now have a 1 – 3 – 0 record.

Defender Christina Baylen was excited about this game due to increased confidence.

“I felt pretty prepared because the Viera team told us that Merritt Island lost to them by 26 points,” she said. ” [Viera] said we put up more of a fight against them than Merrit Island did.”

The game was tied until the last ten minutes of the second half, when sophomore Amanda Farthing scored the tie-breaking goal.
