NHS suspends activities while members focus on FCAT

The National Honor Society officers have decided to give their members a two-week break from activities during the upcoming state-mandated standardized testing window.

“With FCAT testing coming up, we don’t really have anything planned,” NHS President Kaitlyn Hoskovec said.

Sophomore member Abbie Kellner says she’s relieved by the decision.

“FCAT is always a pretty hectic time, and as much as I like the NHS meetings, I’m glad we can focus on the tests,” she said.

When the testing-period ends, NHS will resume regular meetings and activities.

“We have a few things in mind to do when testings over,”Hoskovec said.
