Silents bells cause lack of uniformity

West Shore is currently operating on a silent bell schedule. This is due to various standardized tests including FC AT, EOC, and AP exams. Silent bell will likely continue for most of the remaining weeks of school.

“There are a lot less tardies on a silent bell schedule,” Attendance Clerk Elaine Lawson said.

With the ambiguous bell schedule, students take the liberty to adjust the time between classes to their own advantage.

“I like silent bell,” junior Schuyler Schrader said. “In weight lifting we get more time to work out and get swoll because we don’t know when the bell is going to ring.”
