Ready, set, launch
On Saturday, senior Matthew Booe launched a kit-made wood airplane for one of the various events at Lake Nona Middle School for Regionals at Science Olympiad. Science Olympiad is an international competition for secondary-school science students. “It was nerve-wracking being the first person to launch the plane at the event,” Booe said. “[The plane] kept flying vertically instead of horizontally; it was annoying.” The results of the competition will be released on Wednesday.
