Taking junior Jayanth Kundumadathil’s blood pressure, senior Trevor Stamand learns about heart rate during a cardiovascular unit in anatomy. “My dad is a doctor so it is interesting to see what he does. I also want to become a doctor, so this lab is good practice, and it is cool to see how to do it,” Kundumadathil said. The lab taught students how to properly take the systolic and diastolic numbers and the pulse rate.
