While dipping newspaper strips in paper mache, seventh-grader Jenny P. starts to create her mask for Spanish Club. “I liked making the mask because I really love arts and crafts. I joined Spanish club to learn the language, but we learn about the culture too,” Jenny said. Awilda Marti, who is a new teacher on campus this year, sponsors the club.
