Juniors to host Spirit Night at Chipotle

The Junior Class will play host to a West Shore spirit night at Chipotle on New Haven on Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in order to raise money for Prom and other events.

This is not the first Prom fund-raiser done by the Junior Class, as previous events included a spirit night at Jersey Mike’s as well as Menchies and pizza at Hammock Landings, and it most likely will not be the last because Prom is generally an expensive occasion.

Junior Leighton Johnson said he thinks this particular fund-raiser will be successful.

“Not only will it help my junior classmates, but Chipotle has really good food,” he said.

The amount of money brought in from fund-raisers directly impacts the price of Prom tickets.

 “Overall, it’s a win-win situation,” Johnson said.

The key to a successful fund-raiser is  getting a high amount of student participation.

“I’m probably not going to go,” junior Cullen Yarbrough said. “My schedule is pretty tight right now since it’s around the time of exams, and I had no idea that the event is even going on in the first place.”
