Punday Monday featured students, such as senior Lydia Howald, playing a game between buildings 2 and 3 where the objective is to maneuver an Oreo from their forehead to their mouths without touching it with their hands.

Spirit week festivities began Monday with a play-on-words theme: “Punday Monday”. Students were encouraged to wear pun-related costumes, such as senior Kevin Barr’s “Cereal Killer” prop.

“I got the inspiration from looking at ideas online,”  Barr said.

Barr’s costume, a box of Frosted Flakes stabbed with plastic knives worn around his neck, drew laughs from many of his classmates.

“I thought it would be funny to dress up,” Barr said. “I also enjoyed the cleverness of other people’s outfits.”

Red-headed senior Cameron Burrows celebrated “Punday Monday”, dressing up as “Gingerbread Man”, by carrying a loaf of bread with him throughout the day.

“I’m having fun and getting hyped for the Powderpuff game on Friday,” Burrows said.

Burrows also participated in “Minute to Win It” during Power Hour, during which students tried to be the first to eat a cookie placed on their foreheads without using their hands in order to win prizes.

“It was fun to compete, even though I didn’t win,” Burrows said.
