Senior Class pitches Valentine’s dance

The Senior Class officers are trying to get a Homecoming-style dance approved by the administration for the Saturday after Valentine’s Day, according to Vice President Juan Rodriguez.

“We haven’t discussed themes at all but we’re looking at making it a Sadie Hawkins dance,” he said. “The dance would be limited to high schoolers and the auditorium carrying capacity.”

The idea of the dance appeals to senior Jett Morgan.

“Being around Valentine’s Day, I think would give the dance an extra flare or spark that would make it different from all other dances,” he said. “And I like the idea of a Sadie Hawkins dance because then girls might understand the pressure that comes with asking someone and start to appreciate the courage some of these guys have.”
