JV boys’ soccer slip past MCC

Junior Ben Lack scored the only goal of the game as the boys’ junior varsity soccer team beat Melbourne Central Catholic 1-0  in the dying minutes of the game Tuesday night.

“One of the MCC defenders had the ball and I took off of him,” Lack said. “I dribbled past a couple players and placed the ball to the bottom right corner.”

The Wildcats had more possession and more shots on target. Freshmen goalkeeper Cooper Stein only had to make a couple saves.

“I would say we dominated most of the game,” Stein said. “We missed a couple chances in the second half, and they didn’t threaten our goal that much.”

The next game is against Astronaut at home on Friday.
