French students react to recent France terror attack

A recent terror attack on France left one police officer dead and three others injured at the Champs-Élysées is on many French students’ minds. The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but officials believe the Islamic radical was acting alone. In the past couple of years there have been numerous terror attacks on France.

“People are only making situations worse with these attacks, and I honestly don’t know how this is all going to be resolved,” sophomore Amy Sainsbury said. “It is scary to think that killing others in these attacks is now not as big of a deal as it once was.”

Freshman Sarah Bahsoun also expressed concern.

“Although we haven’t talked about the shooting much in class, it is on all of our minds even though it’s awful that attacks are becoming more frequent,” she said. “I think that a lot of these people have realized that this is a way to get a lot of media attention which is really sad.”
French students are continuing their studies with the end of the year approaching.
