Chorus gears up for Candlelight

High-school chorus students are excited to help tell the Christmas story at “the most magical place on earth.” They will perform at Candlelight Processionals at Walt Disney’s Epcot on Thursday.

“This is my first year doing Candlelight,” sophomore Kerrianna Jadunandan said. “We had to learn 10 new songs individually, most that were not even in English, and that’s not even including the three additional songs we had to learn in class for our winter concert. But even though it was a lot of hard work, I’m excited to sing with all those talented people.”

Candlelight Processionals is a moving presentation of the Christmas story in spoken word by a celebrity narrator and music by a mass choir, including Disney’s Voices of Liberty, and a 50-piece orchestra.

“This is my second year participating in Candlelight, and I still had to listen and learn songs for hours,” senior Jeremiah Fontaine said. “It’s not easy, but in the end it’s a really cool experience.”
