The sorting hat ceremony for the Harry Potter club commenced on Oct. 4. This was their second meeting, and President Dana Zschau  plans to hold future meetings, with the events replicating actions in the books. Zschau also has plans for the December meeting, which members are excited about.

“But I do know that we’re going to have a feast for the December meeting,” Zschau said. “Where we’re going to have a bunch of fried chicken, pot pies, and things like that.”

Not only do members look forward to just holiday celebrations, Vice President Brennan Balser said her favorite activity is trivia; and that it can even help unite the members.

“It can be really fun because it gets us all talking to each other,” Balser said. “And it gets us out of our shells when we come to a group.”

No matter what the club has planned for each meeting, the members just enjoy each other’s company.

“It’s always fun to get together.” Balser said.
