Crumbl Cookie and the Junior Class are partnering to sell cookies on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lake Washington location. The Junior Class will receive 15 percent of each purchase made, which will go towards future events.

“I’m very excited about the Crumbl Cookie fundraiser,” Junior Class sponsor Kimberly Walling said. “Crumbl has kind of been this new fad for everyone. Many people really love the cookies and several West Shore kids even work there.”

One student who works at Crumbl is Junior Class President Rosalina Rodriguez.

“I’ve been working there for months and since the menu rotates weekly. I never get tired of the cookies,” she said.

The Class will use the money raised for upcoming events with the primary goal being the junior/senior Prom.

“We have secured and paid for the venue so some of the pressure is off, but that did also take a big chunk out of what we have raised so far,” Rodriguez said. “We are looking for more funds for decorating, a DJ, photo booth, and a few other things to make Prom wonderful.”

The funds raised this year will go towards events for next year as well.

“We’ll need money for our graduation venue at the Kings Center, for things like diploma covers, flowers for graduation, and the senior breakfast, so there are a lot of fun events to look forward to,” Walling said.

The Junior Class is working to make each fundraiser better than the last.

“We’re always trying out different things,” Walling said. “We’re also considering future fundraisers and taking suggestions from the Junior Class.”

Rodriguez is hopeful for the turnout at Crumbl.

“We’ve learned a lot from previous fundraisers, mainly about spreading the word,” she said. “While posters and fliers are great, word of mouth tends to work the best.”
