Wagon Wheels-a-Rollin’ set for May 17

Junior Connor Courtney scored the lead of Chuck Wagon in Wagon Wheels-a-Rollin’, which Troupe 6034 will perform in the auditorium at 2 and 7 p.m on May 17.

“I am excited to take on a new comedic challenge,” Courtney said. “It’s not the main play but a lot of people should come see it because it is a hilarious fun time to be had by all. Ticket sales benefits the theater program.”

As the school year comes to a close, the theater department puts on one last show.

“I am Cactus Pete in this western farce,” sophomore Sam Niemeier said. “I am thrilled to participate in this play because it will allow me to bond with my theater friends once more before summer begins and the time we spend together is limited.”

Sophomore Megan Ward is looking forward to the production, as it will give her an opportunity to try something new.

“In previous theater productions, I have always been cast as a dancer,’’ Ward said. “While being a dancer was always fun, I am glad that this time I will have a few lines. It gives me an opportunity to expand my horizons.”
