After a successful dessert concert last week, orchestra students prepare for their next big event: the annual winter concert.

According to orchestra teacher Maureen Fallon, the orchestra performs three major concerts ever year. The first is the fall dessert concert, followed by a winter concert and then a spring concert.

But with each concert comes more difficulty for orchestra students, as they slowly learn more challenging music.

“We have to practice every day in orchestra. We also have to take the music home and individually practice it,” junior Andrew Leonard said. “But it’s a worthwhile experience as it allows you make music with lots of people.”

Leonard added that as soon as the winter concert is completed, a new repertoire will be selected for the spring.

More details on the performance will be released closer to the night of the event. All parents and students will be invited.
