Robidoux rallies boys past War Eagles

Senior captain Ryan Robidoux led the boys soccer team Monday night, scoring both goals in a 2-1 defeat of the Astronaut War Eagles.

Throughout the first half of the game, the boys were losing and, according to Robidoux, were playing poorly.

“We were choking our opportunities away offensively,” he said. ” We couldn’t score and then we tried to overcompensate and we got sloppy.”

Finally, in the final 25 minutes of the game, the boys started to rally back and the scoring began.

“We got a couple lucky breaks and took that luck to our advantage and scored twice,” Robidoux said.

Head manager, Gage Giunta, recalled an atmosphere of agitation surrounding the bench.

“Watching the game was excruciating, especially because of the fact that I couldn’t help the team,” Giunta said.

The boys next play at district opponent Space Coast, with varsity play beginning at 7 tonight.

“We need to keep our composure around the goal and put the ball in the back of the net,” Robidoux said. “We’re going to be fine.”
