Girls’ soccer preseason underway

After a week’s worth of fitness tests and drills, the girls’ varsity soccer opened its preseason games with victories against Satellite and Rockledge.

“I feel that this year’s soccer team is filled with a lot of potential and positivity,” senior Fallon Klenotich said. “The preseason games helps us figure out the shape of the team as well as finding what we will be best at doing whether it be playing around the other team through passing or hitting long balls and having our forwards outrun the opposing defenders.”

Klenotich, who plays several positions, added that as a senior, she hopes that for her final year of high school soccer the team will win the district championship.

Sophomore Tyanna Tizol is focused on personal goals.

“My goal as individual playing on varsity primarily is to be able to adjust to the formation we’ll be playing and understanding the roles of not only my position as a defender but also every other position and their roles,” the defender said. “It’s my second year on varsity so I would like to get more playing time as well so I can add to what the team brings to the table.
