The Dance Team is having tryouts for the 2016-2017 school year on April 4 and April 8. Those interested in trying out need to bring comfortable clothes, jazz shoes and all of the Florida High School Athletic Association forms.

“During tryouts the dancers will be responsible for learning a one minute long routine on Monday and will be evaluated on it the second day which is Friday. We will also be looking for the amount of technical skills the dancers can achieve that day,” Coach April Shaw said.

The tryouts will be held in the school gym from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday and 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

“Coach April has the graduating seniors come in and judge the new and returning dancers on Friday. The new upcoming seniors will be responsible for teaching part of the dance to the girls trying out. They will still be trying out even though they are teaching the dances,” senior Devin Dolnik said. “Don’t hesitate to tryout if you aren’t sure. Being on the dance team was one of the most memorable times I had in high school.”
