Boys finish season with a loss to Edgewood
The middle school boys lost their last game of the season against Edgewood, 62-38.
The Cats were led by Tony H. who had 11 points and 7 rebounds in the boys’ losing effort. In what was basically a one-sided effort, the Cats hung around for the first three minutes of the first quarter but it was an undefeated Edgewood team that would eventually lay it on too thick for the Cats to handle. Coach Derrick Hamilton had to give credit where credit was due.
“I have to give Edgewood credit, they were well coached and disciplined. They looked like a team with a mission and that was to finish undefeated,” said Hamilton.
Although the boys didn’t have the best of seasons, Hamilton was proud of them.
“All in all I am happy with my boys. They know they could have been better, they could have potentially been 6-2, but it is what it is and they did the best they could with what they had and I proud of them,” he said.
The boys finished the season at 4-4, falling to .500, and not making the playoffs.
