Boys’ basketball begins conditioning

The boys’ varsity basketball team has begun conditioning to prepare for the upcoming season.

According to senior Juan Rodriguez, conditioning will include sprinting, running long distances, weight lifting as well as scrimmaging.

“I’m glad we do it because it gets everyone focused and ready to rumble for the season,” Rodriguez said. “It’s a way to get everyone together.”

The varsity players will be conditioning three days a week. The boys are eager to get started and have high expectations for the season.

“I expect us to be one of the best West Shore teams there is,” senior Jett Morgan said. “I believe we will win either the Bronson Holiday Tournament or the Junior/Senior Pride Classic.”

The boys’ varsity basketball team will play its first home game Dec. 2.
