Testing the waters
Deep in thought, Jared Duncan leans over his lab materials for the AP Environmental Science lab, “El Niño.” “It was actually really difficult to set up the lab because the two different samples of water temperatures that we had to separate easily leaked onto each others sides,” Duncan said. “We had to redo it a million times before we got it perfect.” The El Niño lab was used to teach students about convection currents and the cycle between different temperatures of water during the El Niño Southern Oscillation weather pattern.
